Classification of DTH drill bits
1. Introduction to DTH drill bits DTH drill tools are divided into two series: high air pressure and low air pressure. Using high-quality raw materials and advanced production technology, we produce a series of high-quality DTH drill tools. Widely used in earthworks, mining, water well drilling, construction projects, etc.
Nowadays, there are four main types of end face designs used in high air pressure DTH drill bits: namely, end face convex type, end face flat type, end face concave type and end face deep concave center type. Carbide mostly uses spherical teeth, spring teeth or a tooth arrangement that shares spherical teeth and spring teeth.
1. End face convex type: This type of drill bit is divided into two forms, single boss and double boss end. The latter is mainly used for down-the-hole drill bits with larger diameters. The convex end type down-the-hole drill bit can maintain a high rock drilling rate when drilling medium-hard and hard abrasive rocks, but the straightness of the hole is poor, so it is not suitable for rock drilling with high requirements for blast hole straightness. project.
2. Flat end type: This shape of drill bit is relatively strong and durable, suitable for drilling hard and extremely hard rocks, and is also suitable for drilling medium-hard rocks and soft rocks that do not require high straightness of blastholes.
3. Flat end face type: This shape of drill bit has a conical recessed part on the end face, which forms a slight nucleation effect during the rock drilling process to maintain the centering performance of the drill bit. The drilled blast hole has a better straight line. This kind of drill bit has good powder discharge effect and fast drilling speed. It is the most commonly used down-the-hole drill bit on the market.
4. Deep concave center type on the end face: This shape of drill bit is evolved from the same type of ball tooth drill bit. The center part of the end face of the drill bit has a deep concave center part. It is used for nucleation during the rock drilling process to ensure the straightness of the blast hole when drilling deep holes. It is only suitable for drilling soft rock and medium hard rock.
